The Director of Data will manage a team of analysts, and partner with/support the Head of Digital and Head of Strategy to provide critical insights, analytics-problem solving, data-informed storytelling, and strategic thinking to impact and grow client businesses.

A successful Director of Data will be an analytically-minded individual who can leverage data and trends to identify actionable insights and craft strategic recommendations for clients. This position will require superb written and verbal communication skills to articulate and present work internally and externally. This position will span multiple clients, with a heavy focus on social reporting for Spotify.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead the analytics team in uncovering insights to help support and improve clients’ organic and paid social media marketing efforts.
  • Become a thought leader on the business regarding all things data, trends and research.
  • Create and present visual, informative, and actionable reports, POVs and dashboards.
  • Provide ongoing guidance, review, and support for all periodic and ad hoc reports to be presented or shared with clients
  • Assist in research and insights required for ad hoc projects, RFPs and new business pitches.
  • Manage analytics and social media management vendor relationships by raising / escalating ongoing issues and keeping the team informed on platform updates / new features
  • Supervise, mentor and grow a team of four analysts

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience in social media marketing strategy and/or analytics
  • Experience using GSuite, MS office
  • Proven management experience
  • Experience with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Social Bakers, etc)
  • Experience with social listening tools (Brandwatch, Netbase, Digimind, etc)
  • Experience using BI Tools (Tableau, Google Data Studio, Looker, etc)
