Quimet has dedicated more than 20 years in advertising to building brands from a strategic and client-centered approach.
In 2003 he moved to Barcelona, where he changed his career from creative to planning and accounts, wanting to understand the advertising industry as a whole and not just the creative part of it. He lived in Barcelona for 7 years where he became Account Director for Brands like: BMW, Nestlé, Cerveza Damm, Deutsche Bank, SEAT & La Caixa. In 2009 he decided to returned to Colombia where he started working for Sistole (BBDO’s experiential Marketing agency) As Head of International Business & accounts, here he successfully extended the agency’s foot print for global clients like Avianca, Black Berry & Proexport in all LATAM (Perú, Ecuador, Panamá, Chile, Brazil), US, Europe (Spain, UK, Germany & France) & Africa (Zambia).
In 2014 he left BBDO to launch Buentipo, and only after a few months leading the new agency he won Creative & social AOR’s for Audi, Ferrero Rocher, Presto & Parmalat. Today Buentipo Anchor is one of the fastest growing agencies in LATAM. In 2019 Buentipo Anchor won the agency of the year award in Colombia and most effective independent agency in LATAM.
